SHIPPING & RETURNS

Shipping Policy

While Aquarium Biz guarantees our fish will arrive alive, if the fish remain in the shipping package for any length of time after delivery, their health may suffer. To prevent this, we require that a picture of any deceased fish in the unopened bag be emailed to us at contact@aquarium.biz within one hour of delivery. The pic must clearly show the fish in the unopened bag. After an hour, we assume the fish were neglected outside on a porch and became deceased as a result. Failure to send the required picture within one hour of delivery voids all guarantees and refunds.

Please understand that once the fish are sent, they are no longer under our direct care. We do not control the shipping once they have been handed over and consequently we cannot guarantee exactly when the fish will arrive. However, because we pack the fish so carfully, we can guarantee live arrival even if the fish are delayed in the shipping.

In the event that a deceased fish has arrived to the customer, please note the following: Aquarium Biz will re-imburse the cost of the fish and a prorated refund for the shipping incurred. A customer email must contain a clear digital picture showing the deceased fish in its sealed, unopened bag within one hour of delivery of the fish to the customer.  We do not anticipate any losses that will require a refund, but if the need arises, please note that we will gladly remedy the situation as outlined herein.

Return & Exchange Policy

We believe that our fish are of the highest quality possible.  Sometimes, however, quality isn't enough to ensure that fish will thrive in their new home because we cannot control their new home.  For this reason, once fish have left our tanks and are now in new tanks we can no longer guarantee them.  However, when shipping fish, please see our Dead On Arrival policy regarding this.  If you want to return the fish, we are unable to accept them.  Nevertheless we could recommend that you rehome any unwanted fish using Kijiji.ca or Craig's List.
