Subwassertang, also known as Süßwassertang, is a popular, low-maintenance, and versatile aquatic plant for freshwater aquariums that resembles seaweed. It is a liverwort, or technically a fern, that doesn't need to be rooted in the substrate and can be left to float or attached to hardscape like rocks or driftwood. The plant provides excellent hiding spots for fish fry and shrimp, while also helping to improve water quality by converting toxins and heavy metals into safe organic compounds.

As with all of our live plants, there is no guarantee that you will not also receive some aquatic snails (or snail eggs) or other hitchhikers with the plants. However, we generally try to remove all of such items prior to shipping.
