Our Signature Species!
Ram cichlids (Microgeophagus ramirezii) made from Black Rams mixed with Electric Blue Rams. These fish are sold over 1.5" each and are unsexable at this age. These fish are at the moment young and already show some impressive coloration. They are a mix of both Electric Blues with Black highlights. As they grow, they can be very impressive. The images are typical of the fish that we have but bear in mind that these Rams in particular are not all identical. There is an amount of variation with their coloration.

These fish are very peaceful and calm in community tanks. They rarely cause any issues with other species of fish. However, they can be territorial and care should be exercised to allow plenty of hidding places for fish that may be chased. If no places are offered to hide from aggressive fish, it can result in their stressing out and dying as a result. Rams are slower moving fish and they are best kept with fish of similar disposition. Keep water temperatures near 80-82 deg F for best results. They do best is softer water near neutral pH as do most Dwarf South American cichlids.
